DKNY Intimates Women’s Signature Lace Bralette, 2 Pack

This DKNY Intimates Women’s Signature Lace Bralette, 2 Pack looks super cute!  We purchased it at Costco  originally, but found it now at Amazon.  First things first, this is a very well priced, and super cute, two pack of a DKNY Bralette.  The lace trim, removable padding, and overall look of this bralette all seem to add up to a great purchase.  The black has that fancy classic look, and the red is a very striking shade that really grabs the eye.

My husband purchased this for me as a gift, and I must admit I was excited to receive them.  I do not have many bralettes, and I thought what a great brand to get me started.  When I pulled them out of the box, I liked the look and the feel, and I appreciated that the padding can be removed.  All too often, the padding in bras and tops will give the item an awkward shape or line that just can’t be adjusted away.

I tried them on, and I loved the look.  I was all set to wear them out into the world proudly displaying my style and boldness!

That’s about where my excitement started to dwindle.

I wasn’t so bold right off… I decided to try them by wearing them to work under my professional button up (Not revealing) blouse.  I soon realized that I felt the need (often) to adjust the bralette from time to time.  The edges of the lace we irritating my skin, and I sort of expected some of that as I don’t often wear bras with a lacy edge for that very reason.  Knowing that this was likely until I got used to it, I let that issue slide and still felt upbeat about the new bralettes.  I really wanted them to work!

Then I started to feel like the bralette was actually pinching me.

I had received the size SMALL, and in trying it on at home I felt confident that this is the right size for me.  It didn’t feel too tight, nor too loose.  It just didn’t leave me feeling comfortable, and the irritations and pinching just got worse all day.  I couldn’t wait to get out of it by the time I got home.

In the end, as much as I wanted this to work out, I suggested to my husband that he return them to Costco and try again.

Keep in mind, others will experience things differently.  This is my take from actually trying it for you.  My comments are my opinion.
